Who We Are
The Calgary Drop-In Centre (the DI) is a housing-focused emergency shelter, connecting people to permanent housing.
The Free goods program is an extension of the Calgary Drop-In Centre, we are a donation and resource hub for Calgarians in need, as well as 120 agencies and outreach groups.Yet, it’s difficult for low- or no-income Calgarians to furnish their homes with essential items, or access clothing and essential supplies. Out of this need, the Free Goods Program was born, providing taken-for-granted “stuff” to Calgarians who need it.
What We Do
This summer we are participating in the City of Calgary’s community clean-up event series.
Help us fill up our moving truck with gently used furniture, household goods, clothing, electronics, and other items you no longer need. We’ll make sure your donations go to a fellow Calgarian who needs them.
